Cycle Breakers Group
Experiential Group for exploring and working through Intergenerational Patterns, Boundaries & Identity
You’ve done the work.
You understand where things come from.
And yet, the patterns still show up.
You might notice yourself:
Over-functioning in relationships
Struggling to set boundaries without guilt
Feeling responsible for others’ emotions
Torn between cultural or family expectations and your own needs
If you often feel responsible for everyone else’s feelings, struggle to set boundaries without guilt, or carry patterns from your family that you can’t seem to shake, working on your own can feel slow, isolating, and expensive.
I see you.
Reclaim your power, autonomy, and agency.
Many South Asian women grow up learning to prioritise others—family, community, or cultural expectations—over their own needs. You may have been praised for being “responsible” or “selfless,” yet deep down, you feel restricted, unheard, or pulled in multiple directions at once.
If you’ve spent your life navigating the expectations of two different cultures, feeling torn between who you are and what others expect of you, you’re not alone.
You carry the weight of responsibility, guilt, and people-pleasing—while wondering if anyone else truly understands what it’s like.
The Cycle Breakers Group is about more than healing.
It’s a space to reclaim your voice, make choices that honour you, and step into your independence—even when that feels unfamiliar or challenging.
Healing happens in community, not isolation - where women lift each other up and grow together.
A Different Kind of Therapy Group
The Cycle Breakers Group is a small, structured, clinician-led group for adults who want to understand and change the impact of intergenerational and relational patterns.Together, we explore:
The roles you learned to play in your family
How these patterns show up in your current relationships
The internal “voices” that shape your thoughts, emotions, and decisions
Why guilt, obligation, and fear can make change feel difficult
Specific experiences of growing up in expat communities
Navigating different cultures and struggling to balance it out
This is not a surface-level or purely educational group. It is a depth-oriented, experiential space where change happens through both insight and real-time relational work.
How It Works
This is a closed group over 8–10 weeks, designed to create safety, consistency, and meaningful connection.
You can expect:
A small group (4–6 participants)
Weekly 90-minute sessions
A blend of structured themes and open process work
Opportunities for reflection, emotional processing, and relational feedback
Virtual sessions so you can access this space from wherever you are
We will gently explore patterns as they emerge—not just in your life outside the room, but within the group itself.
Who This Is For
This group may be a good fit if you:
Grew up feeling responsible, “the good one,” or the fixer
Struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, or emotional burnout
Experience guilt when prioritising yourself
Feel stuck between cultural/familial expectations and your own needs
Are insightful—but find that insight alone hasn’t led to lasting change
Meet your facilitator
Hello, I’m Raisa.
I’m a clinical psychologist with over 13 years of experience helping adults navigate the impact of intergenerational patterns, family expectations, and relational challenges.
I created the Cycle Breakers Group because I couldn’t find a safe, clinician-led space for my clients that used the principles of group work and community-led healing.
This group is a one-of-a-kind experience that makes therapy more accessible, while also giving you the chance to build connection, gain insight, and begin shifting patterns that have held you back.
In this space, I guide participants to identify and shift unhelpful patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and practice new ways of relating—both to themselves and others—within a supportive, reflective group setting.
