Trauma and Couples Therapist in Stanmore, across London and Online

Are you ready to step into the deeply authentic version of yourself?

Hello, I’m Raisa.

I’m a HCPC registered clinical psychologist with over 13 years of experience working across a range of settings with young people, adults, and families.

Most recently, I worked as the Lead Psychologist at a complex mental health inpatient hospital in London.

I come to this work grounded in my identity as a first generation immigrant and person of colour, and in lived experiences shaped by mental health struggles, generational trauma, shame, silence, and resilience.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years unlearning, grieving, and reclaiming. This work is personal to me. It’s not just what I do - it’s what I believe in.

With over 13 years of experience in mental health care, I hold space that is honest, non-performative, and deeply attuned. You won’t find quick fixes here - but you will find room for your full truth: grief, anger, chaos, joy, and all.

Approaches

I am trained in a variety of different approaches which I bring to the therapeutic space.

  • Trauma-informed therapy and attachment repair

  • Somatic and body-based approaches to healing

  • Culturally responsive practice

  • Mindfulness and nervous system regulation

  • Relational depth work

The main approaches I use in my practice are CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) , EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitisation), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EFCT (Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy) along with a mindfulness & attachment-based approach.

I continue to learn, unlearn, and evolve - guided by clinical integrity, embodied wisdom, and a deep commitment to decolonizing mental health care.

    • You’re tired of performing strength

    • You long for depth and honesty in your healing

    • You want a therapist who sees the whole of you -culture, trauma, identity, and all

    • You’re ready for the slow, brave return to yourself

  • If you’re looking for a short-term fix, prefer a solely directive approach, don’t want to be challenged, or aren’t ready to prioritise your mental health, we may not be the best match.

The work I do tends to be deeper and longer-term, focused on building a meaningful, collaborative relationship. I show up authentically and will challenge you when it’s therapeutically helpful.

If you’re seeking generalist therapy or coaching, that’s okay too - my role as an HCPC-registered clinical psychologist is highly specialised, and not everyone needs that. If we’re not the right fit, I’m happy to help you find someone who is.

  • Outside the therapy room, I live in London with two rescue cats who keep me on my toes. I’ve trained in Indian classical dance for over a decade, and when I’m not moving, I’m usually surrounded by my ever-growing jungle of houseplants - plant care is my version of meditation!
